Bivalves

Fuchsella amygdalina (J. de C. Sowerby, 1839)

A rather non-descript, almond-shaped bivalve that is common in both the Leintwardine and Whitcliffe Formations (Fig. 1). It usually occurs in a dark-brown, elongate form with fine growth-lines.

Pteronitella retroflexa (Wahlenberg, 1821)

An unmistakable bivalve with a fin-shaped flange protruding from the main part of the shell. Found throughout the Bringewood, Leintwardine and Whitcliffe Formations.
